The city is teeming with the best of the best of everything – you’ll find amazing bars, excellent clubbing and restaurants that’ll keep you returning for more every time. London is widely considered to be one of the “gay” focus points of the world & is the base for the largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GBLT) community in Europe.
When you think about the yearly ‘Soho Pride’, ‘Pride London’ and the London Gay & Lesbian Film Festival – and probably several of the most spectacular gay nights out you’ll find on the planet – there’s always something to beguile you year round.
Some of the best bars in the centre of The city are situated in the acclaimed gay location known as Soho. Soho is cool as everywhere is in walking distance, it’s awake all night and you will consistently get a place open to keep you occupied till late. ‘Profile’, a nice small bar off Old Compton Street (known as London’s ‘Gay’ street), is celebrated for its excellent cocktails and ambiance. There is also ‘Friendly Society’ which is as welcoming as its name implies, their drinks were a little dear but it is sure to be an incredible experience - there is an excellent crowd of people and the DJ’s are just sensational.
Further acclaimed bars are Green Carnation, Bar Code, Freedom, The Edge, G-A-Y Bar, Village, Ku Bar, Candy Bar, The Yard and the more traditional Compton’s and Admiral Duncan, to name a few.
Some of the greatest clubs are likewise the most recognised clubs. People couldn’t possibly enjoy their night out in the city should they are visiting without going to G-A-Y, ofttimes described as the exemplary camp Mecca. Superb melodies, amazing folks and uncostly drinks, - the hotspot for every gay person in the city to scout out! You also have Heaven, found right off the Strand. This is a bit more costly but it has a stunning atmosphere and has sufficient rooms to oblige every inclination in tunes.
Other venues include Soho Revue Bar & Shadow Lounge. The up and coming arena for the more resolute revellers is a little farther out in Vauxhall. Some great night loving / after hours locations & bars include Area, Crash, Barcode Vauxhall and Fire as well as special nights at Club Coliseum and the popular Vauxhall Tavern.
