My Nikon D70 digital SLR camera, came with a good basic kit that included a decent lens for use with a wide range of everyday photographic tasks.  However, as my skills as a photographer improved, I found that I wanted more flexibility from my digital camera.  Instead of spending a couple thousand dollars on a better model, I decided to take a look at some Nikon digital camera accessories to try to extend the use of my camera. 

Nikon lenses, flash units and many other accessories are interchangeable between most of their digital cameras, so I had a lot of digital camera accessories to choose from.  I definitely needed a couple of new lenses.  I wanted a wide-angle lens for shooting scenery as well as a high-performance telephoto lens for covering sporting events.  I also wanted to check out other Nikon digital camera accessories that would help improve the quality of my photos.  For example, I definitely needed something better than the standard pop-up flash unit to help make the colors in my pictures really pop.  The auto flash included with the D70 just isn't good enough any creative lighting situations.  I also needed a higer capacity memory card and a tripod - digital camera accessories that I could get from Nikon, but I could also shop those items easily.

As I tallied the total price of all these Nikon digital camera accessories, I knew I'd have a hard time squeezing everything into my budget.  It's kind of hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars on high-end Nikon digital camera accessories when I have plenty of other bills that need to be taken care of too.  The only way I would be able to swing all of these purchases is if I got some great discounts.  I even decided to shop for slightly used Nikon digital camera accessories in order to save money.

Instead of going to the camera store to look for Nikon digital camera accessories, I knew my best chance to find good deal was to go online.  Besides to finding a lot of websites that have plenty of discounts on Nikon digital camera accessories, I also searched through some auction sites to see what kind of prices I could get on used accessories.  The great thing about most digital camera accessories from Nikon, including their lenses, is that they fit many of their models instead of just one or two.  That meant that I had a lot of options even when looking at used stuff.

Eventually, I was able to purchase all the Nikon digital camera accessories I needed in order to upgrade my D70 and get the kind of performance I wanted.  I was also able to save quite a bit of money on this equipment by purchasing through discount vendors online. So if you're in need of new or used Nikon digital camera accessories, I recommended shopping online rather than in local stores if you want to save money!
